The Woz

How true this is… from Steve Wozniak.

“All of a sudden, we’ve lost a lot of control,” he said. “We can’t turn off our internet; we can’t turn off our smartphones; we can’t turn off our computers.”

“You used to ask a smart person a question. Now, who do you ask? It starts with g-o, and it’s not God,” he quipped.

Timelapse clouds

I should have been a meteorologist or something.  I’m kind of obsessed with clouds.

Lightning

Love me a good Kansas thunder/electrical storm.  Made for some sweet pictures.  The only photoshopping I did was a little level adjustment on a couple shots.

Stillmotion

Gale Tattersall and Greg Yaitanes on the House finale from stillmotion on Vimeo.

For those of you that aren’t video nerds the season finale of “House” was shot on the 5DmII.  That’s a DSLR that costs under $3000.  I haven’t seen the episode because I’ve been toying with the idea of going back and watching all of the previous seasons, but its cool nonetheless.

Greg Yaitanes directed that episode and recently did a Q & A with his DP Gale Tattersal at the Cine Gear Expo.  The StillMotion crew put together a little teaser of a talk that Greg and his DP Gale Tattersall gave and they used some of two seconds away’s music.  Its kind of surreal seeing (or in this case hearing) something you created used by someone else to create something entirely new.

The full presentation can be watched here.
